Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage
May 5, 2024 - May 26, 2024
I would like to thank Mike, Makiko, Izumi and Ken for a fantastic Shikoku Pilgrimage tour. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience to follow in the footsteps of Kobo Daishi. If you love Japan as much as I do and looking for something different to do then this is the right tour for you.It allows you to explore the spiritual side of Japan which is definitely fascinating. I can say having completed the tour that it is indeed magical. You come away with a feeling you just can\'t shake and everyone will come away with something different. The Tour itself has a proper pacing for the visit to each of the 88 temples. Not too much and not too little while offering up just the right amount of free time to explore each city in your own. The time I spent wandering and eating in Kochi is definitely one of my favorites. The Tour is small, only 3 of us with another joining half way through. And the smaller the better because it allowed the guides to tailor the experience to our needs. Being a foodie myself along with Sam and Winnie it gave the guides a chance to pick the best restaurants in the areas where we\'d eat what the locals were usually eating. It was like 2 tours in one, food and spiritually; more than enough to fill your soul.I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who has an interest in Japan and is looking for a new experience and I would definitely love do to this tour again one day, and if I\'m lucky enough to walk it like the others.Thank you Japan and Samurai Tours for a once in a lifetime experience. See you again soon.
