Best of Japan in 22 Days
May 19, 2019 - June 9, 2019
I loved this trip. My only wish would have been to have a little more breathing room for rest and recovery. I knew it was going to be fast paced but it proved to be tougher than I thought. lic ______________________________________________________Thank you so much for your kind words and feedback on our tours! Itinerary
I definitely got a feel of what it\'s like to travel as a Japanese tourist during the tour and three weeks wasn\'t enough to experience all Japan had to offer. I\'m sure 3 months wouldn\'t be enough time. It was action packed for sure!
Lodging
All of our accommodations were comfortable and clean and I loved the mix of both western and Japanese rooms. I especially loved Ouan in Takayama and Ryoso Kawaguchi on Miyajima Island.
Food
The food was definitely delicious and plentiful and with my dietary restrictions they always did an excellent job with the substitutions.
Guides
All the guides, meeting, and sending services were fantastic. I especially loved Chiwako in Hokkaido and Masako in Sendai. Kay in Tokyo went above and beyond in her assistance and JJ in Kyoto tolerated my idiocy in miscalculating times and worked it out for my travelling companion and I to still make it to the \"Meet a Maiko\" session without missing a thing. Makoto in Takayama, Rei at Koya-San, Takamatsu, and Matsuyama, Teddy in Hiroshima, and our guide in Nagasaki (curse me for forgetting her name, I feel horrible) were also great!
Pre-Tour Handbook
It was organized very well and all the handbooks were helpful all the way around. Also the stateside staff was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions.
Tour Organization
It was organized well and any time we had to change plans (like we had to in Hakone due to volcanic warnings) the alternate activities were still enjoyable.
Tour Transportation
I\'m always a fan of public transportation and utilizing it while on this trip was a great way to experience Japan.
