We are now with a second tour in Japan. What a difference! The second tour gives tells us little about the history and modern development of Japan but we certainly have not missed any junky souvenir shop in this part of Japan.

I can not give enough praise for Chiwako. She went out of her way to make our visit perfect. When Sumarai Tours failed to order Gran Class train tickets that we and the Colton’s had paid for, Chiwako personally paid the difference to upgrade us to Gran Class anticipating that she would get reimbursed. My wife and I tried to give Chiwako a tip for her outstanding care but she graciously refused saying that she did not accept tips.

As far as baggage on the trains, normally our tour groups are up to 16 people, so sometimes room for bags is indeed an issue. And our guides are definitely the best in the business!
