I would rate this a 6++ if possible. The pace of the tour, the quality of the itinerary, and the efficiency of transporting us to a myriad of beautiful places turned 12 different types of people into a happy family, experiencing an unforgetable sampling of Japanese culture. Thank you Mike!

Itinerary

Most ryokans were just what I wished them to be. One was very small. All had excellent staff who treated us very graciously and made us feel welcome.

Lodging

I left Japan believing that our group of 12 were the luckiest tourists in the country. We samples great and subtle cultural experiences that far surpassed normal tour visits. We were able to sample the essence of this asian land

Food

Morning, noon and night, the Japanese cuisine was top shelf. Although western food was offered, I couldn't pass up the freshest fish I have ever eaten.

Guides

The nicest and most knowledgeable I ever met. They made me feel comfortable in a foreign culture and became friends throughout the trip. They made a great contribution to my experiences.

Pre-Tour Handbook

Excellent reference materials in concert with that offered by Samurai Tours on-line. I felt very prepared for the venture.
