We liked the traditional style inns. Excellent service.

Every meal a delight!

Outstanding guides. We especially liked Maryiko in Matsumoto and Nagano.

Handbook was very good, might need some minor updating. We did not fully understand the luggage transfer system with overnight bags only on certain days. We also did not find any laundry machines until the last night. With regard to money changing, we were glad to have done that in the US and not at a Post Office in Japan as that seemed less convenient.
